Chronology & Context:

  1. The International Delphic Council (IDC) was founded on 15 December 1994 in Berlin, Germany, as an association of persons comprising individuals representing 20 nationalities. This initiative was preceded by a preparatory conference to revive the Pythian Games / Delphic Games held in March 1994 in St. Petersburg, Russia.

  2. On 29 March 1996, a Delphic Charter was adopted and signed during the World Delphic Congress in St. Petersburg, becoming the foundational document of the Delphic principles.

  3. Since its inception, the IDC has functioned as a public-benefit entity with charitable aims, operating as a non-profit, non-political, and non-religious global organization dedicated to fostering peace among people, cultures, and nations through artistic and cultural engagements.

  4. Over the past three decades, the IDC has organized seven editions of the Delphic Games and established legally registered National Delphic Councils (NDCs) across the world to represent and uphold the IDC’s objectives under the collective name of the Delphic Movement / Delphic Network.

  5. The International Delphic Council (IDC) is addressing two cases of illegal misappropriation in Russia and India through legal action. These unauthorized entities, initially established under IDC e.V mandates, exceeded their authority and misused the Delphic Idea and Movement—knowledge and use of which was acquired solely through engagement with the IDC. The following entities have been formally discontinued within the IDC Network:

    • Delphic Marketing & Rights GmbH

    • International Delphic Academy

  6. Anyone—including former officials, office-bearers, or subsidiaries—claiming to represent IDC e.V without a 2025-ratified affiliation is unauthorized. Engaging with such parties is solely at the individual's or organization’s risk and invites legal consequences.

  7. At its International Session in March 2025, the International Delphic Council (IDC) formally adopted a new visual symbol, tag line, and design language for use across its global network, expressly discontinuing all previous symbols and tag lines. Any unauthorized use of former or current IDC logos, symbols, or word marks—including, but not limited to, “Delphic Games” and “Youth Delphic Games”—in any form or combination, in any jurisdiction worldwide, constitutes an infringement of IDC’s intellectual property rights and will be subject to appropriate legal action.

  8. All communications, narratives, the historical record of the Delphic Movement, and the categorization of its six art domains are the exclusive intellectual property of the International Delphic Council. This extends to all materials, statements, and representations made in the name of the IDC. Any former office bearers or officials presenting themselves as authorized representatives of the IDC, or occupying positions that are no longer validly held by them, shall be deemed to be acting unlawfully and without authority.

  9. The IDC operates within the framework of its Constitution, which explicitly defines the roles, responsibilities, and authority within the organization. Any actions, representations, or claims outside the framework established by the IDC Constitution are not recognized or authorized by the IDC.

  10. As of 31 October 2025, the duly authorized legal organs and individuals of the International Delphic Council are as follows:

         a. The General Assembly, comprising 24 legally registered National Councils;
         b. The Amphictyony (International Board of Directors), consisting of 11 elected members;
         c. IDC Co-Founder & President, Prof. Divina Bautista (Philippines)
         d. Secretary General, Ramesh Prasana (India)
         e. Secretariat officials.

    A comprehensive and current list of all authorized entities and officials is published on this website under the ‘Organisation’ heading.
